The RAC/MPK is a remote monitoring and data collection system that eliminates the need for physical contact between checkpoint security officers and pedestrians and/or vehicles, which in turn allows for multiple lanes of traffic to be administered by a single checkpoint operator.

In a purely military application, the RAC/MPK decreases the physical risk of checkpoint duty due to the detonation of IED’s/EFP’s or exposure to harmful agents.
